5% of the commission
Ours, not your premium. The premium is set by the insurer and the Marketplace and nobody can touch it.
Giveback
5% of our commission goes to causes people care about, across the United States. You pick the cause; your plan's price doesn't change.
5%
of our commission, every year
When you enroll in a plan through Harbor Lane, the insurer pays us a commission. It doesn't come out of your pocket and it doesn't change your premium. We decide what to do with it, and we decided part of it doesn't stay here: 5% of every commission we collect is pooled and goes to causes our clients choose, across the country.
Ours, not your premium. The premium is set by the insurer and the Marketplace and nobody can touch it.
Six causes to choose from, from families in need to disaster response, each with a national organization already chosen.
Each year we pool 5% of everything collected, split it by what clients chose, and publish how much and to whom.
Three steps, none with fine print.
Right after you pick a plan we ask which cause matters to you. It's optional and takes a second.
Your premium goes entirely to your coverage. Our commission is paid by the insurer, separately.
We add up 5% of the year's commissions and split it among the causes in the proportion clients chose them.

There is nothing to report yet: Harbor Lane opened in September 2026 and the first Giveback goes out in 2027, on every commission collected since day one. We won't invent a figure. When it's real, this section says how much, to whom, and how to verify it.
A broker earns when you enroll. That incentive isn't bad, but it should be visible. Saying out loud how much we earn and what we do with part of it is the simplest way to make sure our relationship with you doesn't depend on what you can't see.
We can't discount your premium or pay you for enrolling: the law forbids it for every broker, and rightly so. Giveback is our money, from our commission — not a benefit of your policy and not a deduction for you. Choosing a cause doesn't change your price, and neither does not choosing.
No. Your premium is the same with or without Giveback. The 5% comes out of the commission the insurer pays Harbor Lane.
Yes, right after you pick your plan in the quoter. It's optional. If you don't choose, your share is split by what other clients chose.
Once a year. The first Giveback is in 2027 and includes every commission collected since we opened.
No. Harbor Lane makes the donation with its own money. It isn't your donation and it creates no deduction for you.
Registered US nonprofits, one or several per cause. We'll choose them with our clients and publish them here with name and amount.
Lemonade is an insurer and donates what's left of each group's premiums. Harbor Lane is a broker: it doesn't collect premiums, it collects commissions, and it gives part of them.
Get a quote, pick your plan and pick your cause. It takes about two minutes and doesn't change what you pay.
