What our clients say

Sample reviews, shown to preview the section. Real reviews from verified clients replace them as they come in.

I typed my ZIP and the ages and had real prices in about two minutes. No name, no email, no callbacks. That alone was new.
Marisol R.Silver plan · Miami-Dade
The subsidy was already taken off every price on the list. On the Marketplace site I had to guess; here the number was the number.
Daniel O.Bronze plan · Broward
A licensed agent checked that my doctor was in the network before I enrolled. She caught that the cheapest plan didn't cover him.

Three steps. No phone tag.

  1. Tell us where you live and who's covered

Your ZIP code and the ages of everyone on the plan. That's enough to price it — we don't ask for your Social Security number to show you a number.

  2. See every plan in your county, with your subsidy applied

Not a shortlist we picked. Every Marketplace plan available where you live, with what you'd actually pay each month after the tax credit you qualify for.

  3. Enrol, and meet the agent who'll handle it

You finish the application on HealthSherpa, the enrolment platform the Marketplace approved. Your first payment goes straight to the insurance company — we never touch it.

What it costs you: nothing.

We're paid a commission by the insurance company, never by you — the price is the same one you'd see going straight to the Marketplace. And that commission plays no part in how we rank plans: we order them by what we estimate the year will cost you, which is why we can tell you when the cheaper plan is the better one.

  1. The price is the price

Premiums are set by the insurer and the Marketplace. Nobody can sell you the same plan for less — not us, not anyone.

  2. You can always check our work

Every plan we show you is on HealthCare.gov too. Compare them there whenever you want; we'll link you straight to it.

  3. A real person, named

You'll see your agent's name and their national producer number, so you can look them up yourself.

What your plan covers, whichever one you pick

Federal law requires every Marketplace plan to cover these ten things. Not fine print, and not up to the carrier.

  • Preventive care

Check-ups, screenings and vaccines. Many at no cost, even before your deductible.

  • Emergency services

The ER when you need it — no prior approval, no penalty for going out of network.

  • Hospitalization

Surgery and overnight stays — the bill that bankrupts people without coverage.

  • Prescription drugs

What your doctor prescribes, according to each plan's drug list.

  • Pregnancy and maternity

Before, during and after birth. Even if you're already pregnant when you apply.

  • Mental health and substance use

Therapy and treatment, on the same footing as any other condition.

  • Outpatient care

Seeing a doctor without being admitted — most visits.

  • Lab services

Blood work, biopsies, and whatever it takes to find out what's wrong.

  • Rehabilitation

Physical and speech therapy, and the devices to recover or manage a disability.

  • Pediatric care

For under-19s: dental and vision included.

And this: no plan can reject you, charge you more, or refuse to cover an essential benefit for a condition you already had. Pregnancy included.

Good to know…

It depends on where you live, your age, how many are in your household and what they earn. The quoter gives you your real price in a few minutes, with the subsidy already applied, without asking for a name or email.

It's a federal tax credit that lowers your monthly payment. It goes straight to the premium — you never handle it. How much depends on your income and household size; the quoter works it out.

Yes. No Marketplace plan can reject you, charge you more, or refuse to cover an essential benefit because of a condition you already had.

Open Enrollment runs November 1 to January 15. Enrol before December 15 and your coverage starts January 1. Outside those dates you need a life event — moving, losing other coverage, marriage, a baby, an income change — and you have 60 days to report it.

Every plan has its own network. In the quoter, each plan card carries a provider search and the drug list, so you can check before you enroll.

No. The carrier pays us a commission. Your price is the same one you'd see on HealthCare.gov or by calling the carrier directly.

No. The quoter doesn't ask for a name or email to show you your prices. That comes later, only if you decide to enroll.
